With so many worthwhile causes seeking funding, support is often
limited to those organizations that have developed a relationship with
the community. This relationship is often measured by the following:
Is it trusted? Is it financially sound? Does its leadership have a
vision for the future? Will it be here in 5 years, 10 years? Longer?
Does it change as the needs of the people it serves change? Quite importantly,
what are its success stories and how does it impact the
community?
We are currently asking the general public to support our first-ever
capital campaign, with the assurance that we can answer "yes" to the above
questions. We have worked deliberately to give back to the community,
by building relationships through sound business practices, volunteering,
collaborating with other agencies, caring for others and meeting the
needs of the community. As we progress with the center renovation, the
opening of the activity/senior center, the commencement and expansion of
a respite program and the opening of another group home we are thankful
for so much.
A few of our success stories follow in the expanded version of our
annual report. Please view our 2006 Annual Report to learn of the
difference our programs make in the lives of so many persons including the impact on
the community both directly and indirectly. These programs are a result
of your continued support that makes it possible for us to sustain our
efforts. Thank you for making our work possible.
