Welcome to Hi-Hope Service Center! We are ecstatic that you've
decided to lend a helping hand to us. Hi-Hope has been serving its
community for over 40 years. Hi-Hope is dedicated to offering a
variety of volunteer opportunities that are skillful, fun and worth
your time. Not only that, we are also open to your new ideas and
talents. Hi-Hope is committed to empowering our clients to make
decisions about their future!
HOW CAN YOU BEGIN TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Let's begin by learning a bit about Hi-Hope Service Center and what we have to

Once you have had the opportunity to learn about us, we know that
you will be more excited about being a Hi-Hope volunteer. This is
the place to gain meaningful relationships, learn new and exciting
skills, share your talent(s), and most of all make someone else
smile!

WHAT YOU MIGHT DO...
- Assist with our fundraising activities (Gala Ball, Taste of Buford, Road Race, fishing tournament, etc.)
- Visit with our residents
- Adopt a group home (celebrate the birthdays of our residents, etc.)
- Adopt a group home by doing yard work, mowing the lawn, etc.
- Assist with a housewarming party when new residents move in or when a new group home is opened (there will be several in the next few years)
- Chaperone day trips
- Assist our clients in the workshop
- Teach sewing, computers, gardening, crafts (almost any hobby)
- Practice Bocce with our clients to get a team ready for a special Olympics event
- Visit with our clients at lunchtime
- Assist our Day Hab clients at lunch and on trips
- Plan a party or dance for the day program
- Teach art, dance or drama classes
- Assist with the respite program on the third Saturday of each month
(hours that volunteers are needed are from noon - 6:00 p.m.) Sign up for
two or more hours to help with children and adults with developmental
disabilities or help with the sibling program.
