Hi-Hope Service Center proudly sponsors several major events each year. These events, made successful by the generosity of businesses and individuals in Gwinnett County, provide critical funding allowing us to provide needed services for adults with developmental disabilities.
Gwinnett County Runs for Hi-Hope
Saturday, October 13, 2007 – One-hundred and forty-one runners, accompanied by friends and family, gathered on a crisp, autumn morning not only for the sake of friendly competition, but to also raise much needed funds for Hi-Hope Service Center at the Fifth Annual Hi-Hope 5K Challenge.
The race, formerly held at the Gwinnett Justice Center in downtown Lawrenceville, was hosted for the first time on our recently renovated grounds. The challenging beginner’s course looped through a few rolling hills at a nearby business park.
The money raised will be used in fulfilling our mission to provide comprehensive quality services to adults with developmental disabilities in a caring environment. Since its inception five years ago, the Hi-Hope 5K Challenge has raised nearly $25,000 thanks to generous community sponsors. The 2007 Gold sponsors include Dennis Taylor & Companies, Travis Pruitt & Associates, and People’s Bank & Trust, who have a long history of supporting Hi-Hope Service Center. They all have made significant financial donations to assist in the opening of a new group home in Bethlehem GA and the continued operations of three other Hi-Hope residential homes.
To recognize all sponsors and participants for their continued commitment to Hi-Hope Service Center, each sponsor and participant was presented with a commemorative T-shirt featuring the traditional Hi-Hope sunburst. These t-shirts honor our community partners and individuals whose generous contributions provide much needed operational funding.
