Fourth Taste of Buford Wows 600 Guests

Thursday, September 27, 2007 – The culinary skills of fifteen restaurants delighted nearly 600 guests at our Fourth Annual Taste of Buford at the Bona Allen Tannery in historic downtown Buford. Between 6 and 9 p.m., these gracious restaurants presented enough appetizers, entrees, desserts and beverages to satisfy everyone’s culinary tastes.

This year’s Taste of Buford featured a special video-taped message from Roy “Dusty” Rogers, Jr., who shared his family’s experiences with his developmentally disabled sister. Also featured in this year’s event, Hooters of Lawrenceville donated a 50-inch, flat-screen TV for our inaugural raffle.

The Fourth Annual Taste of Buford raised awareness for adults living with developmental disabilities and provided $20,895.67 of much needed operational funds for Hi-Hope Service Center. The volunteer-driven Taste of Buford event offers a meaningful and fun opportunity for community businesses and individuals willing to devote their times and talents.
